Rune Kampe defeated Johannes B Johannesson in the final to win the 2015 Nordic Snooker Championship that was hosted by the Oslo Snooker Club.

The first time that the event was held in Norway, the competition’s 32 players were split into eight groups of four, with the top two from each qualifying for the last 16 knockout phase.

Kampe – 11 times Danish champion – breezed through his round robin without dropping a frame. He then eliminated Christopher Watts (Norway) 4-3, Henrik Svedstedt (Sweden) 4-0 and Benjamin McCabe (Sweden) 4-1 to reach the final.

Former professional player and three-time winner of this event Johannesson qualified second from his group before dropping only one frame in the knockout section prior to his meeting with Kampe.

The Icelandic cueist was on the brink of victory at 3-1 up, but Kampe claimed the final three frames to win 4-3 and claim the title.
