Sascha Lippe defeated former professional Patrick Einsle in the final to win the German National Snooker Championship for a second time.

Part of the Deutsche Billard Union’s nine-day cuesports extravaganza where national championships across several disciplines and categories were contested, women’s and seniors snooker was also on the programme in Bad-Wildungen.

In a predictably close affair, Lippe ousted Einsle 4-3 with the help of a fluked pink ball in the deciding frame. Stefanie Muller defeated Anje Hehre in the final to win the women’s gold, whilst Olaf Thode dethroned outgoing champion Mario Burot to claim the seniors accolade.
