The World Snooker Federation (WSF), the global amateur arm of the WPBSA, held its 2025 General Assembly online on Wednesday 17 December 2025.
The meeting was opened by WSF President Jason Ferguson, who welcomed delegates and friends from member federations around the globe.
Delegates were also joined by Mr Jason Gan of Xingpai, who was a special guest observer of the meeting. The WSF Board thanked Xingpai personally for their long-term contribution to the development of billiard sports around the world.
The independently audited accounts were presented by Treasurer Mike Peachey and unanimously approved by the members.

The Board recognised the success of the 2025 WSF Championships held in Morocco for the first time, which saw victories for Gao Yang (Open), Leone Crowley (Junior) and Mink Nutcharut (Women’s).
There was a further update as to the upcoming 2026 Championships, which will take place at the Marinela Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria. Ferguson thanked Oleg Velinov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Snooker Federation for his hard work and that of his team in organising the tournament.
Finally, Ferguson led discussions among delegates on the wider development of snooker around the world.

The WSF board and I have every confidence in Oleg and his team, and that this will be another competition to remember for everyone involved.”
