Cale Barrett completed the impressive double of winning both the 2016 Australian Under-21 National Billiards and Snooker Championships this past weekend at the Brunswick Club in Melbourne.
In the billiards event, Barrett finished second in his group to qualify for the semi-finals where he defeated Group A winner Josh Burns 229-210 over 90 minutes before denying Adam Bleumink 530-348 in the two-hour final.
In the snooker, Barrett won five out of six group matches to make the quarter-finals. He then got the better of Burns 4-1, made breaks of 61 and 52 in ousting Jayme White 5-4 in the last four, and defeated Alex Pace 6-2 in the final.
