World Disability Billiards and Snooker (WDBS) welcomes the successful staging of the second national Parabilliard Championship in Iran last weekend, won by Alireza Heydari of the Fars province.

Held at the Billiards and Snooker Academy of the Bowling, Billiard and Boules Federation of I.R.IRAN (BBBFIR) in the Tehran province, the tournament saw players from locations including East Azerbaijan, Tehran, Mazandaran, Alborz and Fars take part.

The tournament was played under the popular 6-Red format, with Alireza Heydari defeating Ali Farsi (Tehran) in the final. The bronze medal was claimed by Aref Fathi (East Azerbaijan).

WDBS is excited to see the development of disability snooker in the region and hopes to see Iranian players one day competing at WDBS competitions.
