Talented cueist Eklent Kaci recently won his third consecutive Albanian National Snooker Championship.

Held across three days, the 2018 edition featured a total of 30 players. The format was initially double elimination until the straight knockout quarter-finals where four players from the winners’ side were joined by four from the losers’ side.

Teenager Kaci qualified for the final eight with 3-0 and 3-1 victories. He then got the better of Donald Shkodra 3-1, Besar Spahiu 4-3 and then the previously undefeated Dorjan Maknori 4-0 in the final.

Kaci is perhaps better known for his skills on the 9-ball pool table. Last year he won two events at the World Pool Series in New York, finishing top of the rankings in the process.

The Albanian Snooker Federation was created in March 2015 and Kaci has claimed all three editions of the national championship staged so far.

Thank you to Federation President Ogert Shkrepa for his information.
