Vilius Schulte dropped only two frames on his way to winning a second Lithuanian National Snooker Championship title last week.
Held at the Snukerio Akademija in the capital city of Vilnius, a total of 37 players took part in the Lithuanian Billiards Federation organised tournament. The Federation run a structured series of ranking events throughout their domestic season.
Schulte – who first won this competition in 2015 – faced promising 15-year-old Nikita Kolpačenko in the final. The teenager claimed the opening frame, but Schulte recovered to record a 4-2 triumph.
During his last 16 match against Igoris Olchovich, Schulte made a break of 83, which would be the highest of the competition. He also racked up several other useful contributions.
