Nassim Sekat won the 2025 Norwegian National Snooker Championship title following a 4-3 comeback victory against Erik Dullerud in the final at the Stord Snooker Club in Sagvag.

Organised by the Norwegian Billiards Federation, the Championship is the blue riband event on the domestic snooker circuit there. It is the second time that Sekat has secured the crown following his maiden triumph in 2023.

Sekat began his campaign by winning all four of his round robin matches – dropping only two frames in the process – to finish top of his group and qualify for the single elimination knockouts.

The 27-year-old was made to work hard in his last 16 tie as he squeezed past Kjell Martin Andersen 4-3, before eliminating ex-professional and multiple-time winner of this national title Bjorn L’Orange 4-2 in the quarter-finals. Sekat then compiled a break of 72 during a 4-2 semi-final victory against John-Christian Vespestad to reach the title match for a third consecutive year.

Dullerud made it through to the final for the second time in his career – he was runner-up in 2021 – having also qualified top of his group with a 100% record. He then went on to dispatch Harald Helberg (4-2), HÃ¥kon Vasset (4-1), and Geir Bentzen (4-1) in the knockouts.

In the final between two Trondheim Snooker clubmates, Dullerud deposited the opener, was pegged back, but then won back-to-back frames to go 3-1 up. A run of 64 in frame four helped him reach the hill first.

However, Sekat battled back, stringing together three successive frames to deny his opponent in a decider.

Umar Hayat Ali – winner of the Championship in 2024 – did not enter this year as he was competing in the 2025 UK Q School in Leicester, England.
